We set the Standard

Our Core Principles
01

Investigation

Systematic examination of the vehicle and evidence to establish the facts.

02

Formulation

Building a defensible technical hypothesis grounded in the evidence gathered.

03

Explanation

Translating technical findings into clear, accessible language for any audience.

04

Conclusion

Delivering reasoned, court-ready findings that withstand scrutiny.

Founded in 1995 in British Columbia, ATTS — Automotive Training & Technical Specialists — is Canada's forensic automotive authority. We don't just conduct inspections; we define how they are done. As the trusted body, we establish the methodology, uphold the training standards, and certify the inspectors that carry our name.

Over 5,000 reports and three decades later, the ATTS standard remains unchanged: every finding is documented, every conclusion is defensible, and every report is built to hold up in court.

  • A gloved hand indicating a corrosion perforation through a vehicle frame rail.
  • A fire-damaged passenger vehicle photographed in a workshop bay.
  • A laboratory flask of amber fluid in front of rows of graduated sample vials.
  • A red motorcycle held upright by ratchet straps in front of a tarpaulin.
  • A partly dismantled V-engine on a workshop bench with its camshafts and timing chain exposed, a tool chest behind it.
