Privacy Policy
This site collects very little. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixel, and nothing on the page is loaded from a third party. The only personal information ATTS receives through attspecialists.com is what you type into the contact form and choose to send.
What we collect
When you submit the contact form
The form asks for your name, your organization, your email address, a reason for contacting us, and your message. Name, email and message are required; the other two are optional.
When you submit it, our server also records the IP address and browser user-agent string the submission came from, and includes them in the email we receive along with the time of submission. This is to help us identify abuse of the form.
The form contains one hidden field that should always be left empty. It is a spam trap: if it is filled in, the submission is silently discarded and nothing is sent to us or stored.
When you set a colour theme
If you switch the site between its light and dark
appearance, that choice is saved in your own browser
under the key atts-theme. It never leaves
your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your
browser's site data removes it.
Cookies
This site sets one cookie, named
humans_21909. It carries no information
about you. Our web host challenges automated traffic by
requiring this cookie, and the page sets it so that
submitting the contact form is not interrupted. We do
not use cookies for analytics, advertising or profiling,
and there are no third-party cookies.
Server logs
Like any website, ours runs on a web server that keeps standard access logs — the requesting IP address, the page requested, the time, and the user-agent. These are generated and retained by our hosting provider under their own retention schedule, not by ATTS.
What we do with it
We use the information you submit for one purpose: to read your inquiry and respond to it. If your inquiry becomes an engagement, the correspondence forms part of our record of that work.
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent, trade or share it for anyone else's marketing. We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not use it to build a profile of you.
Where it goes and how long we keep it
Contact form submissions are sent directly to inquiries@attspecialists.com as an email. They are not stored on this website — there is no database behind attspecialists.com and no copy is written to the web server. The email is the only record.
Inquiry emails are retained for the life of the file they relate to. Access to that mailbox is limited to the ATTS team.
In the rare case that our server cannot send the email, it records the failure — including the email address that submitted the form — in the host's error log, so that we can tell a message was lost and follow up.
Who else is involved
Nothing on this site is loaded from a third party. The typefaces, the imagery and the background video are all served from our own domain, so no outside company sees your visit.
Two providers necessarily handle data on our behalf: the company that hosts this website and delivers the contact form email, and our email provider, which holds the inbox that receives it. We disclose personal information to no one else, except where we are required to by law.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and requests over plain HTTP are redirected to the encrypted connection, so what you type into the contact form is encrypted in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but please note that this website is not an appropriate channel for sensitive material. If a matter requires it, contact us and we will arrange a suitable method.
Your choices and your rights
You do not have to use the contact form. You are welcome to telephone or write to us instead, and you only ever provide what you choose to type.
Under applicable Canadian privacy legislation, you may ask us what personal information about you we hold, ask for access to it, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Write to privacy@attspecialists.com and we will respond within the time the legislation allows.
Children
This site is directed at professional clients and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how this site handles personal information, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
